7Z Datei-Endung wird von 7-Zip-Dateien. Diese Dateien enthalten Archive oder eine oder mehrere andere Dateien komprimiert werden, dass zur Erhaltung Speicherplatz. Die gespeicherten Dateien können auch vor-oder verarbeitet verschlüsselt. 7Z-Dateien können beschäftigen eine der folgenden Algorithmen:
